This layer is the compilations of Timber Sales Layers from across Alaska. Previous layers compiled to create this single layer included the Timber Sales layer (which represented all active and terminated sales statewide), the Five Year Schedule of Timber Sales layer, the Over-The-Counter timber sales layer, as well as each region's locally stored timber sale GIS data records. Those layers have since been deprecated and unshared. Views from this layer have replaced those individual layers, and are editing restricted public facing. Editing views for each area office have also been created, in which the foresters from the respective offices should do create, edit, and store GIS data for the timber sales within their regions. This layer was created primarily by collaboration between the Fairbanks GIS office and the Fairbanks Area foresters. Further adaptions and attributes have been added to incorporate region specific data for different offices. Those attributes have been queried within views for the offices which use them.
