It provides substantial data sets for three volcanoes (Vsevidof, Westdahl, and Douglas) for which little or no published data exist. All analyses were made by the GeoAnalytical laboratory at Washington State University in Pullman, WA. The ICP/MS data have been reduced using the 2006 calibration to ensure internal consistency of the data set despite the twenty-year span over which the analyses were made. Files can be downloaded from the DGGS website (http://doi.org/10.14509/29843).
\n<purpose>Geochemical data from these localities provide insight into the eruptive history and character of volcanic deposits and eruptions throughout Alaska.</purpose>\n<supplinf>>geochem-data: Major-oxide XRF and trace-element XRF and ICP-MS analyses of lavas, magmatic inclusions, and a few gabbroic cumulate inclusions from various Alaskan volcanoes.</supplinf>\n</descript>\n<timeperd>\n<timeinfo>\n<rngdates>\n<begdate>1985</begdate>\n<enddate>2010</enddate>\n</rngdates>\n</timeinfo>\n<current>ground condition</current>\n</timeperd>\n<status>\n<progress>complete</progress>\n<update>None planned</update>\n</status>\n<spdom>\n<bounding>\n<westbc>-182.39600</westbc>\n<eastbc>-141.63221</eastbc>\n<northbc>64.061082</northbc>\n<southbc>51.928761</southbc>\n</bounding>\n</spdom>\n<keywords>\n<theme>\n<themekt>ISO 19115 Topic Category</themekt>\n<themekey>geoscientificInformation</themekey>\n</theme>\n<theme>\n<themekt>Alaska Division of Geological & Geophysical Surveys</themekt>\n<themekey>Analyses</themekey>\n<themekey>Analyses and Sampling</themekey>\n<themekey>Analytical Lab Results</themekey>\n<themekey>Analytical Results</themekey>\n<themekey>Basalt</themekey>\n<themekey>Bedrock</themekey>\n<themekey>Chemistry</themekey>\n<themekey>Crystals</themekey>\n<themekey>Frosty</themekey>\n<themekey>Geochemical Data</themekey>\n<themekey>Geochemistry</themekey>\n<themekey>Geochronology</themekey>\n<themekey>Geologic</themekey>\n<themekey>Geology</themekey>\n<themekey>Hazards</themekey>\n<themekey>Ice</themekey>\n<themekey>Maars</themekey>\n<themekey>Rhyolite</themekey>\n<themekey>Rocks</themekey>\n<themekey>Sample Location</themekey>\n<themekey>Tephra</themekey>\n<themekey>Volcanic</themekey>\n<themekey>Volcanic Arc</themekey>\n<themekey>Volcanic Rocks</themekey>\n<themekey>Volcanoes</themekey>\n<themekey>Volcanology</themekey>\n</theme>\n<place>\n<placekt>Alaska Division of Geological & Geophysical Surveys</placekt>\n<placekey>Adagdak</placekey>\n<placekey>Adak</placekey>\n<placekey>Akutan</placekey>\n<placekey>Augustine</placekey>\n<placekey>Augustine Volcano</placekey>\n<placekey>Bogoslof</placekey>\n<placekey>Colorado Creek</placekey>\n<placekey>Crater Peak</placekey>\n<placekey>Douglas</placekey>\n<placekey>Faris Peak</placekey>\n<placekey>Fourpeaked</placekey>\n<placekey>Frosty Peak</placekey>\n<placekey>Glacier Creek</placekey>\n<placekey>Hayes</placekey>\n<placekey>Iliamna</placekey>\n<placekey>Iliamna Volcano</placekey>\n<placekey>Jag Peak</placekey>\n<placekey>Juneau</placekey>\n<placekey>Kaguyak</placekey>\n<placekey>Kansas Creek</placekey>\n<placekey>Kasatochi</placekey>\n<placekey>Katmai</placekey>\n<placekey>Kiska</placekey>\n<placekey>Mount Douglas</placekey>\n<placekey>Mount Peulik</placekey>\n<placekey>Mount Recheshnoi</placekey>\n<placekey>Mount Spurr</placekey>\n<placekey>Mount Wrangell</placekey>\n<placekey>Mount Zanetti</placekey>\n<placekey>Nikolski</placekey>\n<placekey>Okmok</placekey>\n<placekey>Okmok Caldera</placekey>\n<placekey>Pavlof</placekey>\n<placekey>Prindle Volcano</placekey>\n<placekey>Redoubt</placekey>\n<placekey>Redoubt Volcano</placekey>\n<placekey>Spurr</placekey>\n<placekey>Tanana</placekey>\n<placekey>The Sisters</placekey>\n<placekey>Ukinrek</placekey>\n<placekey>Ukinrek Maars</placekey>\n<placekey>Uliaga</placekey>\n<placekey>Umnak Island</placekey>\n<placekey>Unimak</placekey>\n<placekey>Vsevidof</placekey>\n<placekey>Westdahl</placekey>\n<placekey>Whittier</placekey>\n<placekey>Wrangell</placekey>\n<placekey>Yakutat</placekey>\n</place>\n<temporal>\n<tempkt>Walker, J.D., Geissman, J.W., Bowring, S.A, and Babcock, L.E., comp., 2012, Geologic Time Scale v. 4.0: Geological Society of America</tempkt>\n<tempkey>Quaternary</tempkey>\n</temporal>\n</keywords>\n<accconst>This report, map, and/or dataset is available directly from the State of Alaska, Department of Natural Resources, Division of Geological & Geophysical Surveys (see contact information below).</accconst>\n<useconst>Any hard copies or published datasets utilizing these datasets shall clearly indicate their source.
