The effective date of the new Zoning Ordinance is December 13, 2023.</p><p><strong>All property in the county is now administered under the new Zoning Ordinance, subject to any vested or other statutory rights, with the following exceptions:</strong></p><ul><li>Commercially and industrially zoned properties that are located in the Route 28 Tax District and administered under the Loudoun County 1972 Zoning Ordinance continue to be administered under the&nbsp;1972 Zoning Ordinance, unless and until the owner chooses to waive their Route 28 Tax District protections through the rezoning or zoning conversion process.</li><li><a target='_blank' href='https://www.loudoun.gov/DocumentCenter/View/180069/Item-01-ZOAM-2020-0001-Zoning-Ordinance-Rewrite-Supplemental-ATT-1' rel='nofollow ugc noopener noreferrer'>Grandfathered (PDF)</a>&nbsp;administrative and legislative applications may continue to be processed to approval under the previous&nbsp;Revised 1993 Zoning Ordinance.</li></ul><div>&nbsp;</div><p>Proffered conditions may apply to certain properties.
